tagged

I was tagged by Kelly a few days ago (sorry I'm just getting to this now!)...so here it is...

Click on the fifth folder in your Pictures file and post the fifth picture - then tag five other friends! (and explain your picture)

This picture was taken sometime in the beginning of May 2008, in our house in Gilbert. That would make Landon about 6 weeks old. You can see Natalie just had a bath (wet hair) and looks like Shaun was trying to watch TV with his two kiddos. =) Good times.

Now I tag Alison, Heather, Aimee, Trudy, and Kallie!

Landon - 9 months old!!!

Weight: 18 lbs 10 ounces (10-25th%)
Height: 28 1/2 inches (50-75th%)
Head: 46cm (90th%)
So basically he's long and skinny with a big head. =)

So Landon is now as old as as long I was pregnant with him...does that make sense? =) It has gone so fast and he is just so quickly transitioning from a baby to a toddler...it is crazy!

He is now crawling EVERYWHERE. The Christmas tree is like a magnet which is hilarious. We've had to move the ornaments up out of his reach. Surprisingly the light chord (to turn the lights on on the tree) has been more interesting to him then the tree himself. The boy has a fascination with cables, strings, and chords. It's pretty funny.
Landon is also pulling himself up. About a week ago I walked into his room and he was standing up in his crib. It actually scared me cause I was so shocked by it. I yelled for Shaun and he thought something was wrong...I actually scared Landon which caused him to fall over. =(

All the new motion causes some spills...poor guys seems to be constantly hitting his head on the tile floor (ouch!) and the other day he got his first nick...

He has been MAJORLY teething. About a week and a half ago I took him to the doctor because I thought he had another ear infection. He's had three already, and so I know he's really susceptible to them. Thankfully it wasn't an ear infection...but he has about 5 teeth trying to come in. Poor guy. And we're STILL waiting for them to make an appearance...

Landon is still not sleeping through the night. I just give in to his cries for milk...mostly because I just want to go back to sleep and not hear his cries for an hour or more! His doctors said he definitely needs to be sleeping through the night now, so we gotta just let him cry it out. So that's the plan. Because we have Shaun's parents coming into town tomorrow, and then we're heading to Canada, we're going to wait until after the holidays to do it.

He is just SUCH a joy to us. So full of smiles, grunts, screeches, growls...I just love our little boy!!!

I just LOVE his face in this next one!

And lastly...a cute video for you...

Snow Day

As you can tell from the video (last post) we had SNOW here in Las Vegas today! I still can't believe it! It is currently still snowing a bit, and we have about 3 inches on the ground. We had a blast playing in it!!!

Christmas Decor...

...been busy.

Lots going on...and I don't even know where to start!

Let's see...still been busy getting the house settled. It sure takes awhile with two little ones to watch out for. I literally feel like my days are so full, and I don't even have a time to take a break...and then by the time the kids are in bed and I finally sit down and wonder what I've done all day?!?!?

This past weekend was busy. On Saturday I helped lead worship and sang a "special" number for our Ladies Christmas Tea at church. It went really well...it was just all around a great morning. I had had such a hard time deciding what to sing. I was deciding between "Breath of Heaven" and one of the songs I had written ("Freedom in the Fire"). I had prayed and prayed that God would show me which one to do...then Wednesday night at rehearsal for worship the ladies made me play "Freedom in the Fire" and they were crying and said "You HAVE to do that one!" I had felt like that would be a good fit for the program (the theme was Peace) but I guess I was struggling because it wasn't a "Christmas" song.

Saturday afternoon we put up our Christmas decor, except for our tree. Sunday morning I had my first week of "work" at church. I'm going to be selling donuts & coffee in the Gathering Room during the three services. It'll be an almost every week thing, except for the weeks that I help with worship or if I go out of town. It's a great way for me to meet new people, be there with Shaun (since he's there all morning anyways!), and make a little extra cash. I'm excited about it!

Monday we went out and got our Christmas tree. It is cute...I just love having our home all decorated for Christmas!!!

I feel like I have a ton of other things to say...too tired tonight though. For now I'll post pictures and hope to be back tomorrow with more words. =)

...the Living Room...(to the very left is the front door)

...the "Dining" Room...(although you can see it is NOT being used for that...note the tacky light fixture)...
Our cute tree!
Other cute decor...
...Family Room...
...and Kitchen...
Our little family at the Church's Thanksgiving Dinner (thanks Gilbert for the pics!)
And another older one from when my Mom was visiting...we got out for a date night...
Tonight I tried Shaun's hat on Landon (from the movie "Life Aquatic") and Shaun thought it was hysterical.
Natalie wanted in on the action too...

Thankful...

I know I am a couple of days late...but I am so thankful for my family. Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend! Unfortunately I didn't take ANY pictures on the actual day...we were too busy with food and the kids that I didn't even think about it!

Tuesday night after Shaun was done work we drove out to Valencia, CA to be with Shaun's parents. The drive went well, and we ended getting there around 10:30pm. Wednesday we did some shopping at Wal-mart, and the mall, and also got a few things together for the next day.

On Thursday Shaun's Uncle Jim & Aunt Sue came with two of their four sons, David, and Micheal, and Diana (Micheal's wife). We had a TASTY dinner and dessert, and of course were stuffed when it was all over. We also had fun playing our annual game of Dominoes after dinner.

Friday morning we headed down to Knott's Berry Farm for the day. It was packed, but still fun! Natalie had a blast going on some rides...that girl has no fear! I think she would've gone on the big roller coasters had she been allowed! I think her favorite ride was the log ride. I was really nervous about the drop at the end but she giggled with delight, much to our relief!

In the evening we drove down to Irvine to see Shaun's grandparents. We had pizza and visited. It was nice seeing them and letting them see the kiddos.

Then Saturday we packed up, had a tasty lunch with Shaun's parents at Chi-Chi's (our favorite Italian place there) and then headed home. We were really sad to leave and had an awesome weekend...but when we drove over the hill and saw the lights of Vegas we were excited. It's such a good feeling to know we're living exactly where we should be.

And a cute little video clip of Natalie and Shaun on the race-car ride...it's hard to know who's having a better time...Shaun or Natalie. =)

Master Bed/Bath

I'm going to (slowly) give you all a tour of our house as, room by room, it is completed.

On Saturday I finished painting our bedroom and we put together the furniture, hung curtains and wall things. I am SO pleased with how it turned out!!!

I didn't take a picture of the closet, but it's a huge walk-in!
