- I'd first of all like to point out that this is my 4th day in a row blogging...HOORAY...I'm officially back!
- Secondly, I'd like to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful Mom!!! We hope you're having a FABULOUS day...wish we could be there to help celebrate! We sure do LOVE you!!!
- Today I met a new friend...her name is Erin. I met her through blogging...I was blog stalking one day and found her website and found out her and her new hubby had just moved to the Phoenix area in June. Came to find out that we grew up in the SAME town, went to the SAME church when she was little, and our parents were in the SAME Sunday School class for awhile! How strange is that?!?! No wonder she looked so familiar! Anyways, so today we met for coffee and it was wonderful! I'm looking forward to our husbands meeting (soon!) and hanging out with my fellow Canadian friend again soon!
- I've added my new Pampered Chef personal website to my links...in case any of you are wanting to check it out and/or order some products. When it asks for a "host" put in my name (Kristal Sawyer). If you DO order products and happen to live in Canada please email me first at chefkristal(at)hotmail(dot)com so we can figure out the shipping details (since Pampered Chef America does not mail to Canada).
That's all for now...
So yesterday Natalie took a MAJOR fall...and it was my fault.
She had been in my lap while I blog stalked, but then she spit up all over me, so I placed her on her changing table while I continued to read. BIG MISTAKE--there's a reason why they say don't leave your child unattended. Well, she somehow managed to scoot herself so that she fell head first off the side...she must've then hit her head on the diaper geenie, which then flipped her right side up and she landed sitting straight up in the laundry basket. Poor girl...she was so sad.
Miraculously there are no bruises and she seems okay. I think I was more upset about it then her...I was shaking for at least half an hour after the fact!
I think this officially makes me the worst Mommy ever...I sure have learned my lesson!
I feel like I need to re-introduce myself to you all since I haven't let you know what's going on in my life. Well, here I am. Hopefully from this point forward life will be a bit more "normal". I sure hope I haven't lost my faithful readers!
Last week my mom, Julene, Tehya, and Paeton flew down to Arizona for a visit! We had 5 full days together and it was WONDERFUL to just have fun together. Guess what we did? All those wonderful things that mothers and daughters do normally...shopped, slept, and ate. Pretty much good times all around! We hit all the big stores that Julene doesn't have out there in Indonesia--IKEA, Target, Wal-mart, Ross, and the big mall out here. I must admit that although it was a wonderful week it sure was TIRING having 3 little ones in this 2 bedroom/1 bath cramped apartment! And the HEAT...ahh, it is A LOT of work lugging kids around in this weather. We were zonked by the end of each day! One night we also watched the new Pride & Prejudice movie (which is one of my new favorites)...so good! And of course my mom and Julene helped stock my freezer with a bunch of TASTY treats...although it isn't really helping me with my healthy-ful eating I'm trying. Too many tasty muffins...oh my weakness. =)
My mom enjoying some rare time with all three of her grandkinds...
Auntie Julene and Natalie...don't you think they look alike?
Some of you know that when we moved we didn't have enough room for our dining room chairs...so we only packed our table. Not to mention that the chairs were pretty much pieces of junk...so we had decided we'd invest in some once we got here. Well finances have been tight so we just never have gotten around to purchasing some. Enter my mom...she took us to IKEA and bought us 6 new chairs for our table. THANKS MOM (& Dad!)...they look great and we LOVE being able to sit at a table instead of at the coffee table in front of the TV. Shaun and I also had a gift card to IKEA so we bought a fabulous highchair for Natalie (and Paeton to use while he was here) that we hear is the best investment ever...and so cheap!
In other news...Natalie is now eating rice cereal once a day before bed time. She just LOVES it! She is too tiny to fit in her highchair, so instead I put her in her swing. She literally kicks her arms and legs so much when I'm feeding her the cereal that she has knocked the bowl out of my hand on more than one occasion!
Yesterday was great--Shaun took a comp day since he was at church every day last week. We were able to get a bunch of errands done. We both officially became Arizonians by getting our Arizona Driver's Licenses (CRAZY!)...and the wierd part is that they don't expire until our 65th birthday which for me is 2045 and for Shaun is 2044. We looked at them and couldn't believe it...that seems like SUCH a long time away!
I know all of you are also wondering what's going on with my job situation. Well...after being home that week and talking things over with my parents and friends I decided to quit the transcription job. It really was a waste of time! I was making $3-5 an hour and also having to drive 15 miles round trip a day just to pick up my tapes. Not worth it. So the day after we came home I quit. Needless to say they weren't too happy with me but what do they expect? I honestly don't know how they keep people employed!
So...new job situation...I've decided to pursue Pampered Chef! Basically I am considered an Independant Sales Consultant for them...I am SO excited about this but at the same time nervous about all the things I need to do to get started. I've gotten all my new FREE products and I LOVE them. Now I just need to get my shows in place and get started. I know I have a lot of work to do being that we are in a new city and all so I would appreciate your prayers in this. I know I have so many loved ones all over that would love to help me get started but obviously it's not possible that you could host a show for me (and get GREAT free products!)...however any of you are interested in purchasing products or hosting a catalogue show you can let me know...or if you just want more info you can email me at kristalsawyer (at) hotmail (dot) com.
Tonight we are starting a couple's Bible Study with some new friends from church! Should be fun...
Well, that's all for now. I'll be back soon.
I just need to apologize for being the worst blogger ever...you all know how MUCH I LOVE blogging so for me not to post means I've just been to busy. Tomorrow I PROMISE to update you all. Thanks for caring...
Good night!
HAPPY 28TH BIRTHDAY, Julene!!! Hope you had a GREAT day!!! We love you and look forward to spending next week with you, the kids, and Grammy!
On Thursday was our wedding prep day. My mom took Julene, myself, and Tehya (and Natalie too!) to the nail salon where we got pedicures and manicures. It was SO fun and Tehya was so proud to have pretty nails!
Thursday night was the dress rehearsal and dinner. The dinner was at my grandparent's cabin at Hatzic Lake and it was beautiful. The food was delicious (or TASTY as I like to call it!)...great job Mom and Aunt Monika!
